Resolve on linux straight up doesn't support AAC audio decoding, among others, apparently due to licensing issues. Something to keep in mind also is that Resolve apparently has differing support for codecs across different operating systems, as shown here. The AUR page for DaVinci Resolve and the Arch Wiki were instrumental in figuring out what needed to be done. I've only tried it on this one system, so I can't promise it'll work for anyone else, but it's been stable for me thus far. I used the following steps to get Resolve to use the proprietary amdgpu-pro components it needs without installing that for my entire system. I recently got DaVinci Resolve Version 16.2.8.005 (reported as 16.2.8-1 with pacman -Qi davinci-resolve) working on Manjaro with a RX580. Once you’ve done that, there are some tutorials that suggest you download the Linux. With Ubuntu, you have to install either ROCm (check the Novaspirit Tech YT channel) or AMDs professional drivers. I have gotten it running on two distros - Arch and Ubuntu.
